BASED IN AUSTIN, TX

Madeleine, a born and raised Austinite, is happy at home in East Austin with her husband, their two daughters, and their pack of four-legged pups, known locally as “The Austin Dog Pack.”  Madeleine is an avid cookbook collector (and one of Amazon's top cookbook purchasers).  She loves putting those books to work, drinking half-and-half splashed with a dab of coffee in the mornings or sipping a perfectly dirtied vodka martini in the evenings.  She also loves exploring new places and restaurants and lastly relaxing in the Guadalupe River with her husband, daughters and pups.

She dabbled early in entrepreneurship by wheeling and dealing in the Beanie Baby business on eBay and generating her first independent income by walking the neighborhood dogs and mowing lawns. She was also somewhat of a small-town hero, placing second runner-up at the local mall’s talent show with her rendition of “Strawberry Wine.”

When the dust settled and she realized she was no Deana Carter, Madeleine focused on honing her photography craft, winning the Scholastic Gold Medal for photography for her alma mater, St. Stephens Episcopal School. She then attended the California College of the Arts and The Maryland Institute College of Arts, but eventually settled back in Austin and received degrees in psychology and business from The University of Texas while getting deep into weddings floral design.  After years of flowers, she lost her sense of smell and put her floral sheers to rest.  Now, hoping not to lose her eyesight as well, she jumped head first into her first, and favorite, passion – photography.
